WHAT IS ELEVATE AMERICA?
Workforce Connection in partnership with Workforce Florida Inc., The Agency for Workforce Innovation and Microsoft will receive 427 general e-learning vouchers, 427 certification exam vouchers for e-learning courses and 110 professional vouchers as part of a initiative to strengthen the Florida economy and increase national and global competitiveness by providing the technical skills and knowledge to Florida’s workforce.
TYPES OF VOUCHERS
- MICROSOFT BUSINESS CERTIFICATION ONLINE TRAINING - (VOUCHER REQUIRED)
This series of online courses is specifically designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the Microsoft Business Certification exams. Each collection of courses is focused on a single Microsoft product, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access. To access the e-learning courses in this series, a special access code is required to redeem them for free.
- MICROSOFT BUSINESS CERTIFICATION ONLINE TRAINING - (VOUCHER REQUIRED)
This series of online courses is specifically designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the Microsoft Business Certification exams. Certification exam vouchers for Microsoft Office Exams. Vouchers are available for certification exams for Microsoft Office 2007 (MCAS). Exams are given at Certiport testing centers.
- MICROSOFT TECHNICAL CERTIFICATION ONLINE TRAINING - (VOUCHER REQUIRED)
This series of online courses is specifically designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to pass Microsoft Technical Certification exams. Each collection of courses is focused on a single Microsoft product, such as Windows 2008 Server, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Visual Studio. To access the e-learning courses in this series, a special access code is required to redeem them for free. Please note: Exam Vouchers for the Professional level certifications are not included at this time.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Residents of Citrus, Levy, and Marion Counties who are registered Workforce customers and are graduating high school seniors and all other adults. Must have at least a basic level of computer proficiency and is looking to increase their computer skills and knowledge to become competitive in today’s increasingly technical job market. Priority will be given to veterans, low-income and long-term unemployed adults.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
- Commencement date for E-Learning courses is 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010;
- E-Learning voucher recipients must activate their vouchers before August 21, 2010; once activated E-Learning vouchers are good for 12 months;
- Certification Exam voucher recipients must activate and use their exam vouchers before August 21, 2010;
- All Vouchers will be void and cannot be activated after August 21, 2010;
- Registration in Employ Florida Marketplace (EFM) is the first requirement. Go to www.employflorida.com or your nearest Workforce Connection Center and register and obtain an ID:

- Once you receive your EFM ID, please fill out the online registration for a voucher by clicking here.
